La photo n'est pas datée. En comparaison avec la photo du couple prise en 1985, on pourrait en déduire qu'elle a été prise en décembre 1985. Ce pourrait être leur dernier Noël ensemble.

Marcel est décédé le 5 janvier 1986, au 56 E 25th St, West Palm Beach, FL. Il était né le 18 avril 1906, à Cornol.

Marie est décédée le 14 septembre 2008, à Riviera Beach, Florida. Elle était née le 21 juin 1908, à Arudy, en France.

Le couple n'a pas eu d'enfants.

MARIE GIRARD Mrs. Girard, 100 of Riviera Beach, died Sunday September 14, 2008 at the Waterford after a brief illness. She was born June 21, 1908 in Arudy, France which is located in the Pyrnees- Atlantiques region. She met and married her late husband, Marcel in September 1928 in New York City. Marie became a United States citizen in November 1940 while residing in the New York metro area. In the early 1950's she and her husband moved to Riviera Beach where she became involved in many charitable organizations. She was also a devout Catholic, an ardent supporter of St. Francis of Assisi and was a communicant as well. Her hobbies included knitting outfits for Moms-to-be, which she loved, and listening to French music. Predeceased by her husband, Marcel in January 1986, Marie is survived by many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews and great grand nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her parents, Leon and Jean Marie Mauer; and two sisters, Theresa Girardian and Yvonne Scopino. The family of Marie wish to thank everyone for their love and support they gave her throughout the years. It is greatly appreciated and holds deeply in our hearts. When family members are able to all come together in the near future, we will have a memorial mass for all to attend together. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Thursday, September 18, 2008 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Riviera Beach. Rev. Fr. Arthur Obin, O.M.I. will be the celebrant. The family kindly asks that in lieu of flowers, donations in Marie's memory should be made to the St. Francis of Assisi Building Fund, 200 West 20th Street, Riviera Beach, Florida 33404.
